This seminar is for parents, teachers, educators and clinicians working with males with problems in educational and public settings. The seminar will discuss male motivation, lack of performance, and myths about educating male students and keeping them “well behaved”. Interventions and strategies to help parents at home and teachers will be presented for ages preschool to college. Participants will learn immediate and effective strategies for helping boys to learn, complete homework and be successful in life. This seminar is open to all especially, parents, teacher, social workers and counselors! Please feel free to pass on the word; we hope to see you there!
Participant swill discuss the needs and challenges specific to male clients
Participants will learn new strategies to engage male youth in therapy sessions
Participants will apply evidence based strategies to increase parent engagement with male youth regarding homework and school challenges
Participants will review ADHD, ODD, Depression and Anxiety diagnosis presentation in male clients
Participants will discuss alternative and nontraditional treatment approaches to use with male clients.
